Catherine Couturier Gallery is pleased to announce the release two new images from gallery artist Susan Burnstine as part of her ongoing series Where Shadows Cease.
Burnstine creates her dream-like visions entirely in-camera with one of over twenty hand-made film cameras and lenses. Though frequently unpredictable and often technically challenging, these cameras (an amalgam of plastic, vintage parts and random household objects) and their extensive limitations demand a high level of instinct and intuition--the same tools that are key when trusting in the unseen.
Like the other works in the series, these varnished, archival pigment ink prints are available in 12 x 12 inch and 16 x 16 inch sizes at an introductory price of $1,400 and $1,900, respectively, with each size consisting of an edition of 15.
